Jr. Ranger Camp

A view of the river at New River State Park

Jr. Ranger Camp

Explore, learn and help out your state parks! Activities are geared for children ages 6-12 and include environmental education, interpretation of the area’s natural resources, and responsible recreation. Junior Rangers help park rangers take care of the park's natural resources, follow park rules to stay safe and teach their friends and family what they learn about the park and natural world.
We will meet at the 221 Access Visitor Center from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. Please bring a packed lunch, bottled water and be prepared to get wet.

Space is limited to 10 participants, so please call the park at 336-982-2587 for more information and to sign up.
