The swim beach at Elk Shoals access is open from sunrise to sunset year-round.

 

1st Day Hike at New River State Park

Start 2020 off by hiking New River State Park's newest trail; River Bend Trail; located at Wagoner Access (1477 Wagoner Access Road, Jefferson, NC 28640). This 3 mile round trip hike will be lead by park staff starting at 10:00 a.m. The trail is strenuous to moderate so bring plenty of water, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
