Lake Tillery Drawdown

On October 22, Duke Energy plans to start lowering Lake Tillery 6-8 feet. The lake will remain at a low level from Oct. 29 - Nov. 16. When the water levels drop below the boat ramp, the boat ramp will be closed to motorboats. Canoe and kayak launching will still be permitted from the lake-shore but water may not be navigable. Please plan accordingly.

Trail Closures

Several hiking trails remain closed from recent storm damages including hazardous trees, flooding, trail washouts and bridge washouts.  Bridle Trails are unsafe and closed until further notice due to severe damage to the trail surface from heavy rainfall during Hurricane Florence.  Staff are working hard to remove hazards and make necessary repairs.
