Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

Medoc Mountain Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

Park Staff, led by Volunteer Coordinator Sandra Fambrough, hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to say “thank you” to everyone who lent a hand in improving the park over the past year.  Approximately 40 people attended the event, which featured a slide show of many of the volunteers in action and food grilled up by Maintenance Mechanic Scott Taylor. In the past year, the park had 60 volunteers that dedicated 3,013 hours of work including leading educational programs, providing physical labor, serving as campground hosts, and covering visitor center operations. Several volunteers qualified for special service awards throughout the year as they completed 100 and 250 hours worth of work.  For more information about volunteering at the park, please contact Ranger Sandra Fambrough at: or 252-586-6588. This year’s luncheon was made possible by the Rocky Mount Endurance Club.
