Hike to Fall Creek Falls

Come out and hike with a Ranger to the beautiful Falls Creek Waterfall at  Mayo River State Park.  We will start at the parking lot area and go up the hill to Virginia State Park property. We will see a grave site and then head to Byrd’s Ledge. It has a small waterfall and a great rock formation. Then we head to the North Fork of the Mayo to the confluence and then back to Falls Creek following the trail to the waterfall. (Easy hike – 1.1 miles).  Participants will be required to wear a mask and maintain their distance from others.  Space is limited to 10 people.  Please call the park office at (336) 427-2530 to sign up for this hike.  Participants are asked to wear good sturdy shoes, and to bring their own drinking water and buy spray.
