30 Years of Lake James State Park

It's not every day you can celebrate a 30-year anniversary. Local and state officials, community leaders and Friends group volunteering descended today on Lake James State Park to recognize three decades of service and dedication to outdoor recreation in Burke and McDowell counties. Among several tireless advocates who received recognition, Superintendent Nora Coffey was presented a certificate of appreciation for her oversight and guidance as the park expands its reach and offerings to visitors.State Parks Director Mike Murphy
