Waterfowl Hike

Waterfowl Hike

Many species of waterfowl, including ducks, grebes, loons and cormorants spend the winter months on Lake James and now is a great opportunity to observe them. Ranger Clay Veasey will be your guide as we search for birds from the Paddy’s Creek Trail. The weather could be blustery, so be sure to dress warmly and bring binoculars if you have them. This hike starts from the Paddy’s Creek Area bathhouse breezeway at 10 a.m. and will be approximately 2 miles in length.
