Camping

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT AMENITIES:

Not all campsites have identical amenities. Read the campsite information on the reservations website to see photos of campsites; check availability and fees; find out whether a specific site is wheelchair accessible, has access to water, bathhouses or pit toilets, or has electric hookup; and learn other important information.

Tent, trailer and RV camping

Kerr Lake offers hundreds of wooded tent and trailer campsites, many of them on the water's edge. Both electric hookups and non-electrical sites are offered. Many of the electrical sites have hookups for water directly on the site, but some require up to 100 feet of hose to reach the water hookup.

The majority of the campsites have a picnic table, fire pit/ring or grill, and tent pad. Playgrounds, public telephones, hot showers, restrooms, and dump stations are nearby.

Bullocksville offers 59 tent/trailer campsites, 28 with water and electric hookups. The campground is open the week before Easter through early September. A softball field is located nearby.

County Line offers 67 campsites, 36 with electric hookups. Sites are available for RV and tent/trailer camping. Henderson Point has 74 campsites, 43 with electric hookups. Kimball Point has 74 tent/trailer campsites, 47 sites with electric hookups available to RVs. The campground is open the week before Easter through the end of October.

Hibernia offers both RV and tent/trailer camping. Out of 138 campsites, 46 sites have electric hookups. The campground is open the week before Easter through Thanksgiving weekend.

Nutbush and Satterwhite Point have campsites that are open year-round. Nutbush has 79 campsites, 60 with hookups for RVs. Satterwhite Point has 110 sites, 63 with electric hookups for RVs.

Group camping

County Line, Hibernia, Henderson Point, and Satterwhite Point have areas set aside for and groups. Group campsites provide privacy, drinking water and restrooms. Electricity is not available.

County Line accommodates up to 35 people and has a toilet facility on site. County Line group campers may use the shower facilities located in the County Line family campground.

The Hibernia and Satterwhite Point group sites are open the week before Easter and can be used through the end of October.

Satterwhite Point accommodates a maximum of 100 people and has toilet and shower facilities. Hibernia accommodates a maximum of 50 people and has a toilet facility on site. Hibernia group campers may use shower facilities located in the Hibernia family campground.

Henderson Point group area is open the week before Easter through early September. It accommodates a maximum of 35 campers and has a portable toilet on site. Henderson Point group campers may use shower facilities in the Henderson Point family campground.

Group campsites are available by reservation only. Reservations must not exceed 14 nights. All reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

NOTE – Gate access for campers:

Park gates are closed and locked at posted closing times for your protection. There will be no exiting or entering the gates after the closing time. All visitors who are not spending the night need to be out by closing time. If you leave the park and do not return before closing time, you will not be able to re-enter. Check with the park office during office hours for the after-hours emergency phone number. Please notify camp hosts for emergencies only.
