Events and Programs

Due to heavy rains in N.C., water levels at Jordan Lake are expected to continue to rise, causing severe flooding in our campgrounds. We anticipate significant maintenance challenges at our campsites, beaches, trails, boat ramps and some picnic areas following these flooding events at the recreation areas. We appreciate your patience as staff works to clear debris and make repairs after the waters recede. This will cause a delay in opening campsites and access areas for several weeks. We hope to reopen these areas by the end of March, but will open sooner if possible.
Poplar Point Loop E has limited amounts of campsites open for camping on a first come first serve basis at this time. We hope to open more campsites in Poplar Point Loops C & F depending on the water levels starting March 8, 2021.
At this time Ebenezer Church Boat Ramp is closed.
We will update our webpage as the water recedes to appropriate levels.
The Park Office/Visitor Center will be open 8 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday during the months of November, December, January, and February. The Park Office/Visitor Center will be closed on weekends and all state recognized holidays.
On Tuesday, December 01, 2020, all water will be cut off to individual campsites for the fall 2020/winter 2021 camping season. If you should need water, please use the frost proof water spigots located at each shower house. The shower houses will remain open with hot water.
Water will be cut back on starting March 1, 2021 and will be completed loop by loop before March 31, 2021.
Poplar Point Campground Loops C, E and F will be open year-round to accommodate the fall 2020/winter 2021 camping season. Reservations must be made online or by calling 1-877-722-6762 to camp in Loops C and F. Loop E is first come, first serve/walk in camping.
