Join a ranger for an easy stroll down to the headwaters of the Haw River and explore the world of an upland swamp. Wetlands serve many purposes for the environment - from a nursery to a filter - and Haw River is a great place to experience wetlands up close and personal. We'll provide dip nets, catch basins and identification information of what is caught. Will talk about environmental indicator species and wetland metaphors during this hour long exploration. If the weather is iffy or for more information, please call the park office at 336-342-6163 before coming out to the park.
