*CANCELED* Earth Day: Eradicating Our Plant Invaders

This event has been canceled.

We think of planting greenery as helping Mother Earth, but what happens when good plants go bad? Join Haw River State Park staff to learn about invasive species. We will take a short hike to look at some of the invasive plants in the park and learn about what makes them invasive, how they get introduced, the problems they cause, and what you can do about them. Afterward, stick around to help remove a stand of invasive privet. Trails may be muddy so dress appropriately. If you plan to join us for privet removal please bring your own work gloves and hand tools if you have them.
