Astronomy Night
NOTE: Program will be cancelled in the case of cloudy skies/rainy weather. Join local astronomers with the Greensboro Astronomy Club as we observe the night skies over the Iron Ore Belt Access. Telescopes and viewing equipment will be set up on site but you may wish to bring your own binoculars or telescope, plus a chair or blanket for seating. A short 0.4-mile hike is required so please bring a flashlight (preferably with a red light) and follow signs from the parking lot to reach the observation site past the connector trail. Attendees may expect to see closer-than-typical views of the moon, planets, star clusters, and other celestial objects subject to change with time of year and local sky darkness.
