*CANCELED* Doudna’s DNA: Life coding

This event has been canceled.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution giving women the right to vote in this country. This was a HUGE achievement for many generations and all their hard work... and we're going to celebrate all year long!

Do you ever wonder what makes us so unique from one another? From other living creatures? We each have our own "secret code" that makes us each special: DNA. It may be a "secret”, but can we see it and figure out our code? Come out to the park and join a ranger as we explore the trailblazing work of Jennifer Doudna, a female biochemist, and learn about some of her work that helped unravel the mystery behind this code. You will even get the chance to make your very own DNA craft to take home!
