We will once again be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat event! This year the event will feature a Haunted Trail run by Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department for a requested donation of $5.00, all proceeds will go to the Fire Department. We will also have a Children’s Costume Contest for a $1.00 donation and a Decorated Jack-o-Lantern Contest for a $1.00 donation. Pre-decorated Jack-o-Lanterns must be dropped off to the park office either on Oct. 25th or by noon on Oct. 26th. Each of the contests will be to benefit the Friends of Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. Of course, the actual Trunk or Treating will be FREE!
Come celebrate Halloween with us at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area. Run, Scream, Survive!!! Brave the haunted trail.

Event is FREE and open to the public. Trail will be open from 7pm-9pm. Come if you dare!
Join us for our 6th annual Dismal Day! Runners/walkers can check in as early as 8:30 am, and the run starts at 9 am. A limited number of commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase at $5/each.
Then stay for the festival events from 10 am-2 pm including craft vendors, food, live music, cultural exhibits, bounce house, chalk art contest, pontoon boat rides on the historic Dismal Swamp Canal, wagon rides, face painting, scavenger hunt, and much more! Raptors, reptiles, and other live animals will be on display. This year's theme is FISH!

Help us celebrate Autumn and Merchants Millpond at Millpond Day on Saturday October 27, 2018 from 10:00 - 2:00. We have lots of fun acitivities planned! We will have exhibits, archery, games, food, music, pumpkin carving, wagon rides, bounce houses, and more!
Come out for a chilling night hike through the woods. You will have the opportunity to hear some spooky, local ghost stories as we walk and maybe discover some critters that go bump in the night. Meet in the Lake Parking Area.
Come out to the park in your scariest and funniest costumes to enjoy our annual Halloween event! You will get a chance to enjoy our haunted house, hay rides, candy, games, prizes, and so much more! Fun for all ages!
Come in costume any time between 2 - 4 pm to enjoy a Halloween-themed trail and find some treats along the way.
What do we think of when we think Halloween? Pumpkins, Bats, Spiders, Snakes…a lot of things we can find outside in our parks! Come out to the park for some seasonal fun as we learn about the origin a few of our favorite Halloween topics/traditions. Meet at the Visitor Center.
