UPDATE - NEW LOCATION 02/11/16 12:00PM:  the location for the Feb. 14 program has been changed to the north end of the Lowes Foods parking lot in Banner Elk.   Temperatures will be very cold so participants should be dressed warmly and wear proper footwear for hiking in snow.  We will take a short (approximately ¼ mile) hike along a snow covered gravel road.

Dates:  Feb. 14 & 21
Appropriate for ages 10 and up; children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Please, no pets.

Participants will learn how to identify local trees without the aid of leaves by learning differences in bark, limb, bud and branching patterns.
