Goose Creek State Park offers a variety of learning opportunities for all ages. Typically led by park rangers, these interpretive programs allow the public to gain perspective into what makes North Carolina state parks naturally wonderful.
Most of the events are free, though some require pre-registration. All give park visitors deeper insight into the natural world. Call the park office for more information.
Join us around the campsite as we learn a few simple recipes and cooking techniques to try on your next camping adventure. Dress appropriately for the weather. Due to limited space, please call the office at 252-923-2191 to register for this program. Park in the primitive campground parking lot and meet at campsite #1.
Come out and enjoy the first day of the year at Goose Creek State Park. Start off the year with a hike along the Pamlico River while looking for waterfowl and other wildlife along the way. Dress for the weather and meet in the last parking lot on the main road.
