Event List

Join a park ranger for the Great Backyard Bird Count! – We will be hiking around the Summit Area and the Jomeokee Trail and looking for ravens and resident wintering birds. The hike will be approximately 1.2 miles round trip and moderate difficulty. Meet at the Summit Parking Area. Dress for the weather and bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair of ours [limited supply]. (2 hours)

The Rumble Bouldering Competition is returning to the Rumbling Bald Climbing Area. To quote the Carolina Climbers Coalition (CCC),

The Trail Sisters hike is aimed at introducing women to the fun and benefits of hiking. Please dress in layers for the weather and wear hiking boots or sturdy athletic shoes. Join a volunteer angler at the Visitor Center at 2:00 pm for an introductory class on fly fishing.  Please bring all personal equipment available.  Classes may vary based on interest and skill level of the participants.   North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission fishing regulations still  apply.
