RX Fire Hike

Join a Ranger to walk through areas of the forest that have seen controlled fire reintroduced to help native vegetation. We will talk about the role of fire in the ecosystem, the history of fire in NC State Parks, and how staff safely uses fire. There will be a variety of fire tools and equipment on hand for visitors to check out. Please wear closed toed shoes and be ready for a brisk hike to explore this unique landscape.
