Dangerous Plants and Animals

Before you venture out into the woods, learn what things you should stay away from.  Learn about the dangerous plants and animals around the Falls Lake Area and ones found in other natural areas you may visit in the future.  Come to this program and become well informed so you can have a happy hike.  This program is free and open to the public.

Day Use Areas
November to February: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
March, April, September and October: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
May to August: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Closed Christmas Day

Campgrounds

All campgrounds at Falls Lake State Recreation Area now offer 24-hour access during that campground's operating season.

All campgrounds are closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Park Office and Information Center

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

Office closed most state holidays and weekends between Labor Day and Easter

Operating Season Schedule
