Sandling Beach shelters 1, 2, and 3 will be closed starting Tuesday, May 31 until further notice due to facility and staffing issues. Last updated on: Thursday, May 19, 2022Falls Lake SRA has begun the construction phase of our CONNECT NC Bond Project to upgrade our RV electrical campsites to 50-amp service. During construction family campsites will be closed, first at Rolling View and later at Holly Point campgrounds. Due to significant delays from global material shortages, the Rolling View family campsites will be closed through December 31, 2022.
The following campsites are affected:
ROLLING VIEW: All family campsites will stay closed through December 31, 2022.
HOLLY POINT: All family campsites currently not accepting reservations from January 1, 2023 through June 1, 2023.
Persons with affected reservations will be contacted and allowed to transfer to a different campsite or will receive a full refund. Changes to the existing closures or additional closures are expected as the project progresses. We will update this alert throughout the project as dates will change as the project moves forward.
We apologize for the inconvenience and understand that this greatly affects many camping reservations, but the global material shortages have had an unprecedented effect on this project. Please contact the Falls Lake park office if you have any questions.
The toilet facilities next to hike-in campsite 41 are damaged and closed until further notice.
The main wash house and the toilet facilities next to hike-in campsite 10 are open.
