Events and Programs

Eno River State Park offers a variety of learning opportunities for all ages. Typically led by park rangers, these interpretive programs allow the public to gain perspective into what makes North Carolina state parks naturally wonderful. ​

Most of the events are free, though some require pre-registration. All give park visitors deeper insight into the natural world. Call the park office for more information.


Create fish crafts while learning about fish families and specific fish species adaptation.  Make and take craft.                 

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Native, Non-native, or Invasive?  Join our park naturalist for a hike on Buckquarter Creek Trail to identify invasive species that bloom, crawl, and creep in the park.
** It’s helpful to bring work gloves and closed toe shoes, sunscreen/a hat, and long sleeves/long pants to minimize ticks.  This is a great opportunity for high school students to gain some citizen scientist experience and brush up before their AP Environmental Science Exam. 
**Children must be accompanied by an adult.
