Events and Programs

Eno River State Park offers a variety of learning opportunities for all ages. Typically led by park rangers, these interpretive programs allow the public to gain perspective into what makes North Carolina state parks naturally wonderful. ​

Most of the events are free, though some require pre-registration. All give park visitors deeper insight into the natural world. Call the park office for more information.

 

Parents and toddlers can match Eno animal babies and with the parents.  Then, toddlers can play “sound tag” by calling to their caregivers.    
 
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Hike the Eno’s 7.5 mile stretch of the Mountains to Sea Trail.  Make sure to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and extra socks.  Please call the park office to register.  Special instructions to convey - dogs are NOT recommended. due to the need to shuttle folks.  Meet at Pleasant Green.

Due to the length of the hike, this activity is not recommended for dogs or children.

Learn about the life cycle and diversity of Eno’s dragonflies and their kin, complete with a make and take craft. 
 
(Recommended for ages 6 - 12)
