Triangle Parks Day of Service

This is a multi-park volunteer opportunity on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to commemorate the National Day of Service. Falls Lake and Jordan Lake state recreation areas and William B. Umstead State Park will also participate. All ages are invited to help clean up litter in specified areas of the park.

Trash bags and rubber gloves will be provided. All trash can be either deposited in a garbage can or, if it won't fit in the garbage can, it can be placed next to cans on the ground. Park Staff will go around before the end of the day to check that all trash cans and bags that wouldn't fit are cleaned up by the end of the day.

Please check the temperatures and plan to dress warmly.  Please call the park office of the location where you would like to volunteer, for questions.
