The park's swim lake season will begin Saturday, May 27, and the lake will also be open on Sunday, May 28, and on Memorial Day Monday, May 29. The lake will be closed May 30-June 2, and reopen on Saturday, June 3 and on Sunday, June 4. The swim lake offers swimming and paddling rentals that include canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. The concession stand offers drinks and food including burgers, pizzas, hot pockets, and assorted ice cream snacks. The park's 35-site family campground will be closed to the public through December to accomodate electrical, water, and gray water lines being installed to sites 30, 32, 34 and 1-12 in addition to three new cabins that will be located in sites 7, 9, and 11. The park's group sites will remain open and reservations may be made by calling 1-877-7CAMP-NC. Spring (March & April): 7am - 9pm
Summer (May-Sept.): 7am - 10pm
Fall (Oct. & Nov.): 7am - 8pm
9am - 5pm daily, 7 days a week. Visitor Center may be closed for one-hour at midday on weekends.
