Star Gazing
Come out to the park for some star gazing! Bring a chair and sit under the stars. A ranger will be on hand with a telescope and a few guide books for stargazing. We recommend bringing a red light along (won't ruin your night vision--red cellophane over a regular flashlight will work as well).
See how many constellations and planets you can spot with family and friends!
Astronomy Highlights: Perseids meteor shower peaks on August 12th, Leonid meteor shower peaks on November 17th (runs the 15th-20th), Geminid meteor shower peaks December 13th & 14th.
Event takes place at the group camp field.
*In the event of cloudy/rainy weather this event will be canceled.
