First Day Hike

First Day Hike

Start the New Year off right with a hike! Meet a Ranger at the Park Visitor Center for an interpretive hike to kick off the new year. Make it your resolution to become more active in the outdoors. Don't forget to wear sturdy shoes and to bring a water bottle.  At the present time, the hike is planned for the park's new Lake Trail that covers 1.75 miles through the woods and an additional .25 mile back through the Swim Lake Parking lot for a two-mlle total distance.  We're hoping for 100 people to attend!  Please plan on showing up between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. if at all possible.  Dogs on leashes are welcome, too
