Eagle Rock Fire Hike

Join a park ranger at the Eagle Rock Access for a show and tell about wildfire gear, followed by a short hike.  This moderate 3-mile fire hike will take you around Eagle Rock and near the west front of the fire where fire lines held the fire from continuing up Hickory Nut Gorge.

Bring comfortable hiking shoes, plenty of drinking water, and clothes for the weather.
Eagle Rock backcountry access does not have bathrooms, water or trash services.

We are still emphasizing the NC Dept. of Health & Human Services 3 W’s:
Wear a cloth mask over your nose and mouth in all buildings (required) and on all trails (recommended);
Wait 6 feet apart and avoid close contact with others that are not in your party;
Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
