Volunteer Day - North Carolina State Parks Week

To celebrate North Carolina State Parks Week, we are going to have a service project and end it with a celebratory lunch!   When this was private property and a farm, there was a lot of barbed-wire fencing put in that is not needed now that it is a State Park.  Some of the reasons it is so important to remove it is because it is a barrier for the wildlife and also not safe for fire fighters when conducting prescribed burns.  It can become a trap for both. After the project is done the park will supply hotdogs and buns for everyone. We ask that everyone who intends to joins us to please bring one of your favorite sides to share.  Everyone will need to bring their own soft drink or water.  It is important that everyone email if you are going to attend so we know how many supplies we need.
