2 Mile Nature Hike

Carvers Creek State Park - Pasture - J. Fields

2 Mile Nature Hike

Come out for a Ranger-led nature hike. We will be exploring our fire-dependent longleaf pine ecosystem and the recently drained millpond that provides a glimpse of land-use history dating back to the 1800s. We will observe numerous native species to the Sandhills and visit some 200-year old longleaf pine trees with Red Cockaded Woodpecker cavities. Bring a bottle of water, a camera (if you like taking pictures), and your walking shoes! We will meet in front of the park office for this event.
