Prescribed Burn Today - Sandhills Access   

A prescribed burn will be conducted on part of the Fox Squirrel Loop Trail at Sandhills Access.  Parts of this area may be closed during parts of the day.  On sections of trail that remain open, there may be smoke.

Trails and restrooms at Carvers Creek State Park are open.

The park office remains closed at this time while we install protective equipment. Please monitor this page for updates on when the office will reopen.

Please continue to follow social distancing guidelines throughout the park, regardless of the behavior of others. Bring a mask or face covering even if you are planning to only be outside; they are required to be worn when you cannot stay 6 feet away from park staff or other visitors. Wash or sanitize your hands before, during, and after your visit. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.

Area information

Located on the north side of E. Manchester between Hwy 87 and Hwy 210 just north of Spring Lake, NC. For those using a GPS the park address is 2505 Long Valley Road, Spring Lake, NC 28390. Please note that Long Valley Road has two intersections on East Manchester Road. One entrance is a service road and is not open to the public. The park entrance has a large brown entrance sign with white lettering, “CARVERS CREEK STATE PARK,” as well as long wooden fence and main gate.
