Haw River State Park

Activity at Haw River State Park currently revolves around the Summit Center, a residential environmental education complex with meeting spaces, overnight lodging, swimming pool, athletic fields, gymnasium, amphitheaters, trail network and six-acre lake. It’s a serene setting for youth retreats, employee training, reunions, teambuilding sessions, holiday parties and club events. And, the center’s own Haw River Program can provide tailored environmental education and outdoor activities. Traditional state park amenities for camping, picnicking and hiking opportunities are under development at this new park along the headwaters of the Haw River.
