Rock climbing is only allowed in four parks, by permit (climbers must register before beginning a climb), in designated areas only, and with proper equipment. Those parks are: Crowders Mountain, Hanging Rock, Pilot Mountain and Stone Mountain.Climbing is prohibited at all other parks.
