Hunting is not allowed on the Yadkin River passing through the park's river section. This includes any islands, sand bars, or discharging firearms into park land from a boat extending from Shoals Road in Yadkin County to past the last large island in the park. Hunting is allowed on the Yadkin River outside of the park pursuant to the regulations of the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Hunters may not launch boats from park land on either side of the river. Islands downstream of the park are privately property.
