When our campground is FULL, you may try these area campgrounds...A & C Campground, Sparta 336-372-7905; Miller's Camping, BLRI Pkwy 336-359-2828; New River Canoe & Campground, north of Sparta 336-372-8793. All have tent & RV sites. Doughton Park, BLRI Pkwy 336-372-8877, no electric (closed Nov 1 thru mid-May); Cedar Rock Campground, Traphill 336-957-8643, some water/electric hookups & one small group site.

Credit cards are only accepted at the park from 8am until 4:15pm

Bridle (HORSE) Trail is CLOSED / A Loop / Backpack Camping ... details ±

BRIDLE TRAIL.....The horse trail is closed due to wet conditions.
Warning! Area contains hazards associated with rocks, steep slopes, and cliffs. Injury or death possible. Stay on marked trail when open.

A LOOP....in Family Campground is closed November 15 to March 15 for winter.

BACKPACK CAMPING...Sites "E" and "F" are temporarily closed until further notice for repairs.

• Location: Bullhead and Rich Mountain Creeks.
• Accommodates: One person per half-mile section.
• Nearby Amenities: None.
• Available: Year round from 8:30 a.m. until one hour before park closing.
• Reservations Required: Self-registration for daily permit. Must be purchased at the Bullhead Creek parking area the day of fishing.
• Accessible: None.
