Prescribed burning has been planned for various sections of Morrow Mountain State Park between December 15, 2014 and April 30, 2015. Park visitation may be impacted by these planned habitat improvement projects. Due to the presence of fire, smoke, or emergency equipment; park roads, picnic areas, trails, or other recreational areas may be temporarily closed to public use. No interruption of reservations for the Community Building, Family Campground, or Cabins is anticipated. Controlled burning activities are dependent upon specific weather parameters, thus an exact date usually cannot be confirmed until the morning of the burn. Check back here for updates during this period.
