Mayo River State Park  »  Welcome!

Authorized by the General Assembly in May 2003, the Mayo River State Park is in the early stages of development for future public use. At this time, there is no designated public access. Construction of the interim facility is currently underway. Plans include a visitor contact station, picnic shelter, hiking trail, rest rooms, maintenance facility, and improvements to parking and entrance road.

Total acreage for the park is presently 1,967 acres.

Park staff is available to provide outreach environmental education programs and will be hosting volunteer workdays. Please check the park event database for opportunities to volunteer.
