Come to Haw River State Park for summer fun and adventure! The Haw River Program Staff will be leading participants in many amazing park adventures. Each week will have a theme in which programming will focus. The Day Camps will be for children who will be rising 2nd graders - 5th graders. Our Week III Grand Camp will be for grandparents who would like to come to summer camp with a grandchild or two, or for children who would like to bring their grandparents to camp. This will be our only residential camp.
Daily ScheduleParticipants will be asked to bring a bag lunch/water bottle each day, along with a morning and afternoon snack. Juice and water will be available to the students at lunch and water for the breaks. Please be sure to inform us concerning any dietary needs, such as food allergies upon registration.

Week I June 16th - 20th Wildlife WondersRising 2nd - 5th graders $80/wk
This week we will focus on all things animal. Participants will study and explore wildlife
in the park. We will focus on animals of all groups, such as animals of flight and animals
of fright (bugs!). Other daily activities will include water games, art focus and reflection
time (rest break).
Rising 2nd - 5th graders $80/wk
Our nature explorers will spend the week focusing on all aspects of exploration in the wild.
Activities such as orienteering games, map creation and reading, and wilderness exploration
will excite participants all week. Each day will also include water activities, art focus
and a reflection time (rest break).
$90/participant
This two-night, three day camp will be for rising 2nd - 5th graders and their special
grandparent(s). Some of the special activities include fun games for all ages, family
projects, easy to moderate hiking, fishing, astronomy and nightly campfire fun! There will
also be programming time specifically for adults and other activities for the children only.
Daily activities will include pool time, art focus and restful free-time. This camp will be
a perfect opportunity to have a blast at camp, while sharing time with special family members.
All moderately strenuous activities will have an alternative program option. There will be
a variety of overnight accommodation options. Individuals with mobility concerns may feel
more comfortable in our motel style housing, while others may want to stay in our cabin train.
