Nature has provided a fine outdoor facility which includes the Haw River headwaters, lush vegetation, wetlands, rolling hills, pine and hardwood forest, wildflowers, and abundant animal life.
The Haw River Program uses the extensive facilities of the Haw River State Park and the Summit Retreat and Conference Center. The facilities available to the Haw River Program include:
| 10 rustic cabins with 8 beds each (room for a roll-away bed in each cabin also) |  |
| 3 cottages with 12 rooms each. Total of 36 rooms (maximum capacity is 70 for cottages). Rooms are usually double-occupancy but can be reserved as singles for a small surcharge. | |
| Dining Hall with seating for approximately 200 guests |  |
| 6-acre lake for boating and fishing |  |
| Canoes and Jon boats for paddling around the lake | |
| Numerous hiking and jogging trails | |
| Expansive boardwalk that meanders through the wetlands and meets up with the Haw River |  |
