Bear Island Bathhouse Winterized Now Through March 15, 2012. Please note there are NO Restroom Facilities and NO Potable Water. Ferry Service Closed for the Season, and will re-open in April, 2012.
... details ±Facilities on Bear Island are closed for the 2011 season. The bathhouse is winterized and all potable water has been shut off. Restroom Facilities are closed through March 15, 2012. Bear Island will remain open for camping but campers must bring all necessities with them including drinking water. Ferry Service for the 2011 season has ended and ferry operations will resume in April, 2012. Please contact the park office with questions.
