A natural landslide has damaged parts of the trail, which has rendered the impacted area of trail unusable. Therefore, the Auger Hole trail will be closed for all trail use in a section located between the Toxaway River and Bearwallow Creek. Hikers on the Foothills Trail should plan on using the Canebrake Trail for safe passage to the Frozen Creek trail head. The trail will re-open when the repairs have been made and determined to be safe.
