Crowders Mountain State Park »  Rules and Regulations
Despite our leaves being past peak color, the park is still very popular on weekends when the weather is nice. Sparrow Springs Road Access and Linwood Road Access can both experience wait times of up to 30 minutes for a parking space.
Please understand that if park staff are directing traffic or if you are turned away from an access area, it means all available parking spaces at ALL parking areas is currently full. This is especially important to understand at the Sparrow Springs Road Access.
Visitors planning on coming to the park on nice weather weekends are encouraged to have a "Plan B" in the event they are turned away due to capacity crowds.
Visitors are also reminded that parking is only allowed in designated, marked spaces. Parking on road shoulders, grass medians, or anywhere not marked as a parking space is not allowed and can result in both a citation and/or towing of the vehicle at the owners expense.
