The North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation receives grant funds primarily from three sources:
- The North Carolina Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF)
- the grant component of the North Carolina Trails Program, and
- the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).
